Cheats Disclosure:
In setting him up for testing, I did use a few cheats, such as: Family funding him just enough money to buy the house with the towerlike corners, kachinging up a coffin, testingcheats-ing him into vampire-hood, and batboxing a diploma (Duh! Knowledge Sim) and a smart milk "glitch". (Again... Knowledge.) I also rerolled his ltw with the batbox, seeing as he's not getting a job anytime soon.
I used the buyable rod humble computer, because I hate Mr. Humble, and the music for the Sims 3 embedded promo is annoying. (But the pirate rabbit decal is amusing.) Sever will only get to play SSX and he will like it, dammit! Though this itself isn't a cheat, the 2 kachings I used were. Then again, that computer is usually free, so...
Objectives:
In addition to (or perhaps in order to entertain myself while) testing the mod's functionality, the "goal" such as it can be called one, is multipart.
- To see how many thralls Sever can gather from the local population (read: Townies of all stripes). A thrall is defined as a sim who lives in the household with Sever, and is fed on via the "drink blood" interactions. Technically, yes, the answer is undefined, but only seven at a time. However, managing many sims can get irritating, and I am not a patient person, this is limited by that very patience. Also, there's the BFBVFS issue.
- See how many of their lifetime wants I can fulfill without getting bored and having him kill them.
- See how many career rewards Sever can get, through his thralls.
I'm not really playing by hard and fast rules, just making up conventions as I go along. They are subject to change for any reason, including, but not limited to, boredom. These are pretty much the conventions I've been sort of tossing around in my head.
- No thrall gets out alive. Once a thrall moves into the house, it's for life. No "find own place", no accepting another playersim's invite to live in their house (more accurately, I'm not to invite them with any of my other sims). No moving out by any means other than death. Sever may, however, kill them directly, using the deathbite interaction, or indirectly, by neglecting to "give life" to them during bites. You know, for fun.
- Sever has a temper. Any sim that refuses Sever's proposal to move in with him is to be on the receiving end of a deathbite asap. ;D The same holds true for any rejected bite.
- No sim that isn't slated to be a thrall may be moved in. Thralls may have children. Those children are not thralls until they are bitten by Sever. If they make it to college without me deciding Sever should chomp on them, then they can go, but they may not return. (He won't accept them back. Though that's not really a bad thing. They're free!) If not, they are now officially thralls, and may not go to college. No higher education for them!
- For now, no moving gravestones out of the lot. There'll be a graveyard for that. This may change as the lot gets crowded. But I want to have a nice stable of house ghosts, if possible.
- No Player/CAS sims may be made into thralls. (Barring of course, I forget who bluewater player-sims are, again.)
- If, Sever goes into asperation failure, he will kill a pseudorandomly decided thrall. (I reserve the right to pick a Scrappy.) Method will be detailed, for the hell of it.
Household Founder:
Sever Xyn: A young vampire who has forsaken his birthname for a horrifically bad alias. The sort of horrendous name that makes you think whoever was writing the name just wanted to get character creation over with. (I wonder why...) Frankly, not very nice, but has an affable affect. A little triggerhappy on the bite, and possessive too.
(knowledge - Max 7 Skills)
Thralls:
Christopher Danaher: Townie. First thrall. Works in the criminal career. Came with 2 lawn gnomes, a poker table, and a stove. o_O Brought in a decent sum of money, the exact amount of which I can't recall.
(family: Marry off 6 kids)
House Ghosts:
Andrea Hogan: The first "living bloodbag"/freshie/snack/whatever that Sever decided to offer thrallship to. She refused, and was killed shortly after.
(suspected family sim)
