In the previous post, I discovered just how much I took autonomous baby "care" for granted. Sure, they might cram bottle after bottle into a baby's mouth when it's obvious that it just wants its diaper changed, but it almost-but-not-at-all balanced things out. At the very least, it kept the social worker (and warning dialogs) at bay while I tended to otherwise occupied sims.
Either that or I've gotten worse at raising sim babies, or not-quite-twins. Anyway, let's see if the Maldicions get a visit from Child Services.

I put a spell on you... The Maldicion Legacy. [1.5]
In the last Maldicion entry, our intrepid family got a visit from Tosha Go, and the twins aged from baby to toddler, and toddler to kid. Xavier got himself probed by aliens, again. This time, however, it was an accident.

Oh my.
Well, I've been doing some playing without posting (actually, I always have), and in the process I've come to a few realizations.

I put a spell on you... The Maldicion Legacy. [1.4]
Last time, on Buffy the Vampire, Epsilon grew into a teen, and had absolutely no luck in developing a teen crush -- though he did meet both Master Vamps.. Meanwhile, LaShawn gave birth to twins Jedah and Teagan.
I also promised a cameo by a well known townie, so lets start there:

I put a spell on you... The Maldicion Legacy. [1.3]
Previously, on "As the 'Lock Turns" -- er, the Maldicion Legacy, Epsilon aged up to child, the nanny won the Heavyweight Incontinental Championship, and Xavier finally popped the question with LaShawn.

So in the last update Epsilon grew into a toddler and proceeded to ignore the incontinent nanny as best he could. It's kind of alarming how fast Epsilon is growing up while Xavier remains single. At this rate, Epsilon will be an elder before he has a stepmother/father. In other news Xavier finally became a(n atrociously evil) warlock.
The story continues.

I put a spell on you... The Maldicion Legacy. [1.1]
In the last entry, I showed off my building skillz, while Xavier got himself a baby, with the aid of a telescope and some overly-friendly aliens. However, he still didn't have a wife, nor had he been initiated into the dark arts. Clearly, this must be remedied.

I put a spell on you... The Maldicion Legacy. [1.0]
Read the readme? Good. Well groove out to Screaming Jay Hawkins, CCR , Marilyn Manson, or whichever version you prefer, and lets get this legacy rolling.
I started in a fresh, but not clean, neighborhood which I named Tristesse. There are some Maxis premades floating around, particularly Bluewater Village and Simbin sims, but they should be easy to avoid. ;) Also, you might note some magically changing skintones & whatnot as I toss various default replacements into and out of my dl folder. I'm still trying things out.

Curses! The Maldicion Legacy
I'm going to take a small break from the Torrez-a-thon to intrudice you to the Maldicions. This here is my first official S2 Legacy family. Much like the McCormick family, it's headed up by a Knowledge aspiration evil Warlock. What can I say? I started both shortly after getting Apt Life. On that note, technically the family name is Maldición (making them the Maldiciónes), but I don't trust the Sims to understand special characters like that. Given the plans I have for this legacy, the name is a bad pun, as shown in the title of this post.

The Three Hermanos: Carlos, Alon & Felix in College pt. 2
When we last left the Lam Plaza Dorm, Felix had joined up, turning Team Torrez into the Torrez Trio. He tried to get started on finding a future wife, but was less than successful. Carlos got others to do his schoolwork for him, while Alon basically rocked his grade and maxed Creativity.
Now what?
Now what?
Delia's (Not) Gone: Delia Torrez's Story. pt 3
When we last left our intrepid lesbians, they had just reaped the rewards of SSP, in the form of their baby girl: Deirdre. I'd also observed that she wasn't technically a Torrez, but an Anderson, as they haven't yet gotten "joined" or married.
So how are the new mothers doing?

Love is A Rebellious Bird: Carmen Torrez's Story pt. 2
So last post, Carmen made use of her child-free time by sleeping with every sim who'd accept her advances, and subsequently getting pregnant via one of my other CASes. She also proved that she wasn't afraid to face the burglar while pregnant and in her underwear, so long as there was a burglar/cop fight to cheer on. Later, we welcomed Evelyn into the family -- the first daughter to be born in-game no less.
So how's she handling this newest interruption to her freelove woohoo lifestyle?

Love is A Rebellious Bird: Carmen Torrez's Story pt. 1
Huh. I can't help but notice all the other Torrezes are up to their shiny new skin era. Carmen's being left out of the loop maaan. So rather than letting her fall behind, I'll catch her up a bit. Besides, one might be wondering just who what she's been doing now that the kids are gone.
The title for this plotline is a reference to this translation of a Bizet's Opera, "Carmen". The song, and the character herself, remind me of my Carmen. Pure serendipity since I'd discovered it by doing a websearch to see if I could find an appropriately related pop culture reference for the story title.
Note: If you're offended by women in underwear, particularly pregnant ones, I don't know what to tell you other than to not click the link.

The Three Hermanos: Carlos, Alon & Felix in College pt 1.
Quick refresher. When we last left off, Felix had just joined the ranks of Torrez kids in college, and he did so looking like he was destined to teach PE.
Now the fun begins.

Dos Estudiantes un Camino: Carlos & Alon Torrez in College
I was planning of having Carlos plow through college before I sent in Alon, due to the age difference. My patience lasted only so far, about three sim days to be exact, before I decided: fuck continuity.
Again, this is somewhat early on in my gameplay, so the small screencaps are back. And everything that I really found interesting, I had put onto crappy stamp-sized vids. It changed a bit towards the end, but not by much.

Delia's (Not) Gone: Delia Torrez's Story. pt 2
When we last left off Emma Anderson had moved in, and was quickly in the family way. Fitting for a Family sim.
So, what was Delia doing while Emma was puking her brains out?

Delia's (Not) Gone: Delia Torrez's Story.
Even if you actually read the Torrez background posts, you might only have a hazy recollection of the teen lesbian who painted, did Carlos's homework for him, then ran off to college.
This here's her story. And, for the most part, it's cheat free. SSP and other mods abound, however.

Where am I going with this?
Wherein I navelgaze about what I plan to do with this blogthing.
In case it hasn't been painfully obvious, for the most part, I'm doing these recaps way after the fact. Which is not to say I haven't been playing. I have, so I'm only getting farther behind. I'm thinking of starting a new challenge/story from scratch just to feel what it's like to post as it happens, or closer to it anyway. In the meantime, updates on the other families will continue, as I race against my own impatience.
I also plan to reformat some of the family readmes, and put up the downloadable sims on seperate per-family/story posts -- complete with in-game shots & Clean Installer screencaps. I also want to get a decent resources post up, which requires a bit more bookkeeping insofar as CC.
So if it appears I haven't been very active, it may be because I've been poking around behind the scenes. Spare patience is appreciated -- since it's a virtue I sorely lack.

It's the end of the world as we know it: The McCormick Family.
I was kind of spellbound by the Apocalypse Challenge. Once I saw it, I knew I would end up playing it. I also knew I'd screw it up royally. Which I did, pretty damn quickly. To be clear: this is a failed challenge. It's a testament to the fun of the challenge that I'm still playing it, and starting up a new one.
